WINDROSE
TOMATO LIST - 2007
Our
seeding dates run from December 25th to April 15th,
with plants for sale from February 20th through mid-June. We may
also include a set in late July for fall planting. This includes
early, middle and late plantings and a second crop of cherry
tomatoes and replant of saladette and early varieties that
retain their flavor in the colder nights.
We
appreciate suggestions and special orders as long as we have
plenty of time for sourcing seed. We will be offering more
basils, peppers and eggplants. Also available will be summer and
winter squash, melons in addition to our regular herbs, flowers
and greens.
We are
available for talks and workshops at your nursery or garden
club. We are holding a sale at the farm Sunday afternoon the 23d
of April.
***STARS
MARK THE NEW VARIETIES FOR THE SEASON.
We will
be trialing others and offering them as the season begins.
THE
REDS
The
cornerstone of the tomato garden! Now we can chose early, middle
or late; saladette, round slicer or beefsteak. We can also do an
all heirloom garden with plenty of wonderful varieties. Just
remember that your best real tomato flavor will always have some
acidity to balance the sugars.
